Patsy B. Bennett - Longtime Fulton, Mississippi, Community Volunteer

A Tupelo, Mississippi, resident for six decades, Patsy B. Bennett passed away in late 2025. Born in 1940 in Fulton, she took on a prominent presence in her adopted community, serving as head teller at Renasant Bank and providing volunteer service at the Lee County Library. Also volunteering with the local elections poll committee, Patsy Bennett was a devoted member of the West Main Church of Christ.

Ms. Bennett capably raised two sons and a daughter, and centered many activities around family life. Known as a loving mother, she abided by the Biblical imperative “do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” which earned the respect of friends and neighbors. Ms. Bennett also served as a board member of the Villages homeowners’ association (HOA) for decades.

Patsy B. Bennett’s abiding interests included genealogy, and she spent many hours tracing family roots, which extended to Ireland and the religiously motivated immigrants on the Mayflower. Her gravesite is found in Fulton at a family plot in the Itawamba Memorial Gardens.
